Evening Workshop:
Earth Mother or Pachamama goes by many names around the world depending on the culture one is in. While many raised in the Judeo-Christian culture don’t recognize Her existence, She most definitely exists. This workshop will discuss who Earth Mother is and different spiritual practices to develop a closer relationship with Her. We’ll go over what it means to claim our relationship with Her and how to do it, building an altar to Her, connecting with Her outside, and honoring Her through the month. We are all Her children and we are being called to reconnect with Her to help birth the New World ahead. This introductory workshop will provide spiritual tools to benefit Earth Mother and ourselves.
Mare Cromwell is an award-winning author, plant intuitive, sacred gardener, and worm herder. She has studied for seventeen years with Native American teachers and calls Western Maryland home. She sits on the World Council for Wisdom Gatherings. Her first book, If I gave you God’s phone number…. Searching for Spirituality in America, received awards from several national book competitions in 2003.

Staubs and Ditchwater by H. Byron Ballard
After years of pondering, Byron Ballard has finally written a primer for the kind of magic she practices. Driven to it by colleagues, friends and students, writing this little book is an act of stubborn devotion to a fading culture.
This deceptively simple system of folk magic has come down to modern Southern culture through the immigrants and natives who called these blue hills home.
Written in an easily accessible style and filled with insights and stories, Staubs and Ditchwater: a Friendly and Useful Introduction to Hillfolks Hoodoo is part memoir, part workbook.
H. Byron Ballard is Asheville’s Village Witch and does workshops and lectures regionally. She was a featured speaker at the Sacred Space Conference in 2011 and is a popular teacher at the Southeast Women s Herb Conference and Pagan Unity Festival. This book includes Hillfolks Hoodoo and the Question of Cultural Strip-mining the paper she delivered at Harvard’s 2006 conference Forging Folklore. Ballard serves as a ritualist and teacher for Mother Grove Goddess Temple in Asheville, NC
Labyrinth of Divine God and Goddess
On Saturday, February 2nd, 2013, we held ceremony for Enlivening our new Labyrinth of Divine God and Goddess.
Many, many thanks to Donna Askew and Sam Richardson for their incredibly hard work,
generous contribution, and dedication in creating our new Labyrinth!
The night of our celebration we were blessed with many Spirit Beings:
We welcome you to walk our beautiful, sacred Labyrinth:
Donna Askew, who graciously co-created our Labyrinth with Sam Richardson, shared this:
This Labyrinth was called into the 3rd Dimension by 13th Dimensional Beings. The Human Co-Created Manifestation is in Honor of All Living Beings.
The Winter Solstice Healing Grid is buried in the center of this Labyrinth and hundreds of small crystals are buried within the rocks.
We humbly provide a space for all to visit and share in the frequency band that has been co-created to hold this sacred
Labyrinths can be used as walking meditation/prayer healing modalities. As we walk in clockwise we repeat a prayer or request out loud and create an energetic hologram of vibrational intent. Once we reach the center, we stand in silence for a moment as the energy slows down and achieves a balance. As we walk out counter clockwise we are silent as we are sending the energy in the opposite direction to once again find a balance. We have just created a Frequency Band of Our Intent.
We invite you to participate at whatever level you are comfortable with. We are honored to have you at our Labyrinth!

History of Crystal Visions
Do you know the history of Crystal Visions?
Having dreamed of a bookstore, in 1988, Blair completed a course and business plan for operating one. When we moved to the mountains later that year, and searched for a source for crystals, the closest shop was about 45 minutes away.
A storefront that Blair’s parents owned on highway 25 “just happened to open up”, so we did our market research … at Smiley’s Flea Market:
We were blessed with new friends and acquaintances, and were immediately referred by one of you, Blake, to Pam McMahon, “the crystal lady.” To this day Pam is one of our nearest and dearest, and leads ceremony and singing!
Of course, we found great interest and support in having a metaphysical resource in the neighborhood.

We first opened next door, then had the opportunity to move to the larger space we now occupy.
Over the years we’ve had the opportunity o serve the community with products and services. Here’s a sampling of events:
2000-01:
Major expansion of the shop, including the addition of the large meeting space — with design by Cathy Easterbrook
2002:
A celebration of The Spiritual Reawakening of the Great Smoky Mountains, with Page Bryant and guest presenters, Frannie Oats, Michael and J.T. Garrett, Bo Taylor and Walker Calhoun
2004:
At our 15th anniversary celebration in 2004, we had a May Pole celebration,
Lee Carroll, channel for Kryon, visited for the first time,
Jani King, channel for P’Taah, visited again,
Our Medicine Wheel was created in the tradition of Sun Bear, thanks to Page Bryant,
And, with Emily Smoke, we hosted our first annual Weave the Web outdoor networking festival!
2005:
Our first spring Garden Party, with a festive hat contest!
Weave the Web
Our annual Weave the Web Festival provides a terrific opportunity for networking.

The Fall Equinox has long been honored by our ancestors who followed the cycles of our earth mother. It is a time of celebration and thanksgiving with drumming, songs, and the exchange of gifts!
This is a time for thanking our earth mother for the way she has taken care of us this past season, and letting go of the old and bringing in the new!
The exchanging of gifts between each other was a way of blessing each family with prosperity throughout the winter months.
Come and join Crystal Visions for the Fall Equinox Ceremony filled with joyful drumming and inspirational songs hosted by Ann Runningwolf.
Bring a small gift to share with someone and expect to be blessed!

Service to our community
There are many ways in which you, as an individual, can directly participate in improving the lives of those facing hunger in Western North Carolina. The most direct way in which you can have an impact is by donating food. You might just create a habit of buying a few extra cans when you go to the grocery store, keeping a box by your front door where you deposit these extra cans and when the box is full, bringing it to Crystal Visions on your next visit.
We will gladly receive and distribute your food donations to local food banks.
Needed items include:
- Canned meats (beef, chicken, tuna)
- Peanut butter (plastic jars only, please)
- Dried/Canned Beans (pork & beans, pinto, kidney, black)
- Hearty Soup (pop-top cans preferred)
- Meals in a Box or Can (beef stew, chili, mac & cheese, hash)
- Canned Fruits (fruit cocktail, raisins, apple sauce)
- Canned Vegetables (green beans, carrots, corn)
- Cereals and Grains (rice, pasta, cereal in a box or bag)
- Fruit and Vegetable Juice (100% juice preferred)
- Dry Milk (instant non-fat)
