THURSDAY, OCTOBER 8th: ALIEN SCRIPTURES: Extraterrestrials in the Holy Bible with Rev. Michael J.S. Carter

UP-CLOSE LECTURE SERIES

with Rev. Michael J.S. Carter

Thursday, October 8th

7:00 – 9:00 pm

Join Reverend Michael J.S. Carter as he explores the possibilities that the Bible, Koran, and other religious texts contain clues to visitations from extraterrestrials.

Reverend Carter’s Alien Scriptures: Extraterrestrials in the Holy Bible is written from the point of view of a man or woman in biblical times, anything that came down from the sky would be considered a god, or at least sent by the gods. Now consider what the site of modern technology, such as a helicopter or rocket ship, would do to the mind of a 1st century man or woman. The explanation of this type of phenomenon would probably sound an awful lot like what we find in civilization’s most sacred books.

Whitely Strieber, author of Communion: A True Story considered Alien Scriptures: Extraterrestrials in the Holy Bible to be, “the best book ever written on the subject.

Rev. Carter’s books will be available for purchase that evening!

Space is Limited! Tickets will not be sold at the door!

Your True Birth Order and What it Means with Michelle Payton (September 2020)

Your True Birth Order and What it Means

Claiming the accurate Birth Order title
My first exposure to birth order is when I was reading theories about Adult Children of Alcoholics in the 1980’s. As years passed, information evolved to address the functional and order isn’t as cut and dry as many may think. Claiming the title of youngest, firstborn, middle, or only child has some nuances. To take a closer look, birth order “…is connected to the order of birth and role you played out within the family unit that raised you from infancy and beyond.  There are differing opinions on Birth Order theories.  It becomes quite intricate… as it takes into account years between births, gender Birth Order, physical/mental strengths and weaknesses (handicaps, body build, physical attractiveness…), size of family, adoption…

Rules of Birth Order Thumb
Some rules of thumb that a variety of experts embrace that have helped me in my baseline work:

If the siblings above you are both five years or more older and younger than you (and/or no siblings are below you or above you), you can take on only child traits.

If you are second in birth line, but the sibling above you is of opposite gender, you are also first born, [… each] opposite gender and can take on first born patterns.

If you are second in birth line, but the sibling above you is handicapped, has problems with physical attractiveness/body build, you may take on the traits of first born (switching Birth Order in essence).

If you are from a large family, the family units can run in fours (first born number one and fourth born youngest).

Middle children are not always predictable: can be the pleaser or the rebel, but generally a negotiator.

Adopted children can become rebellious at any order.

There are always exceptions to these rules and many, many, many opinions.

(Excerpt from Birth Mix Patterns: Astrology, Numerology, and Birth Order and their effects on the Past, Present, and Future, pp. 17-18.)

Family Models
Look at some snapshots in time of family models and determine where you fit.

A Family of 4 may not have a Middle child identity. A common assumption is the 14 and 12 year old children would assume that they are Middle children.

(Identifies as) Girl, 16 years old—Firstborn girl, family A
(Identifies as) Boy, 14 years old—Firstborn boy, family A
(Identifies as) Girl, 12 years old—Youngest, family A

(Identifies as) Girl or Boy, 6 years old—Only, family B

A Family of 7 could have three divisions:
(Identifies as) Girl, 20 years old—Only, family A

(Identifies as) Boy, 14 years old—Firstborn boy, family B
(Identifies as) Girl, 12 years old—Firstborn girl, family B
(Identifies as) Boy, 10 years old—Middle, family B
(Identifies as) Girl, 8 years old—Youngest, family B

(Identifies as) Girl, 3 years old—Firstborn, family C
(Identifies as) Girl, 1 year old—Youngest, family C

While there is a gap in research for Fluid and Non-binary identities in birth order, it would be reasonable to consider that a family of 4 schematic might show three Firstborns and no Middle child.

(Identifies as) Boy, 14 years old—Firstborn boy, family B
(Identifies as) Girl, 12 years old—Firstborn girl, family B
(Identifies as) Non-binary, 10 years old—Firstborn non-binary, family B
(Identifies as) Girl, 8 years old—Youngest, family B

Redirecting Thinking; It’s a Process with Michelle Payton (August 2020)

Redirecting Thinking: It’s a process.

2020: a challenge of epic proportions. Whatever the new normal looks like, redirecting thinking to create a positive personal reality is high on the list. When looking at the Positive Hypnosis process, here are some steps to consider when making that shift.

Step 1.

Write down 1 thing you don’t want in one area of life (called F.I.P.S.S.—financial, intellectual, physical, social, spiritual).  Some Examples could be:
– I am tired of bad relationships
– I am always broke
– I eat too much
– I’m too lazy
– I’m scared

Step 2.

Change the wording as if you achieved the opposite, what you do want (this becomes the major, positive focus of this learning exercise). Some examples could be:
– Positive Relationships
– Prosperity
– Healthy Body
– Courageous

Step 3.
Quickly visualize, and write, or record (25-50 words each) about 3 to 4 specific experiences you do want (Example: Positive Relationships).

Step 4.
In great detail, visualize, and write, or record with multiple senses, (see, hear, smell, taste, feel, any other senses) every facet of experiences of where you achieved do want in small ways (Memory is not exact and that’s okay.):
– this is usually seconds, minutes… rarely are there big aha memories,
– if you begin to move into yeah, but… (your thoughts move toward don’t want), crop that (only focusing on positive achievements for this step),
– visualize details for 3 to 4 experiences from step 3.

Step 5.
Write down a 2-3 word title for each do want experience (these keywords will help you find and re-use those memories easily in the future):
– Mountain Hike Heaven
– Cat out of Ditch
– Fit Favorite Jeans
– Save $1000

Graphic summary of steps 2-5.

Step 6.

Ranking negative experiences from 1 to 10, choose ONE negative emotional experience that is somewhat irritating to practice safely and effectively to begin. (Maybe a 3 or 4 rank. This is like when you go to a medical doctor and you are asked, “How bad does this hurt from 1-10?”).  Give ONE experience a 2-3 word title.

Step 7.
Write down 2 or 3 of the do want anchors (or titles). Focus on each of those for several minutes each. Really, Really, Really remember how you filled your need, achieved your goal.

Step 8.
If you don’t know Emotional Freedom Technique basics, go https://michellepayton.com/emotional-freedom-technique/ to review the concept. If you do understand EFT, skip to step 9.

Step 9.
-As you EFT tap,
– Say I have step 6 problem anchor (whatever that is and allow only seconds of time to remember problem),
– Then say, and redirect thinking to, Mountain Hike Heaven, Cat out of Ditch, Fit Favorite Jeans, Save $1000 (examples).
Be specific. Check in with your perception of the problem anchor by giving it a number ranking.

Be aware that issues have layers. If you notice that a ranking is going higher, rewind back to a smaller piece of issue (stop if your mind begins to wander past the smaller piece of the issue), and get smaller piece to zero.  (Note: This doesn’t, always, mean that these positive memories solve the problem, but it does mean that you can get the emotional duress down to 0, and this clears the negative residue from your mind.)

These are challenging times, but we have the power to redirect our perceptions. Experiences continue to exist, but we can replace how we react to and remember them.

More on Positive Hypnosis
For more details on this redirecting process, Michelle has written a book called Positive Hypnosis: Re-associating with Solution-based Memories that can be purchased at Crystal Visions. Video training for free and fee, and Do It Yourself Self-Hypnosis Tips can be found in the Education section on MichellePayton.com.

Numerology with Michelle Payton for July 2020

Day of Birth, Heart’s Desire, and Expression Numbers and How They Connect to Life Path

In addition, to the Life Path number (covered earlier this year), there are three other core numbers that complement the general Life Path journey: Day of Birth, Heart’s Desire, and Expression Number. Here’s what they mean and how to calculate them. Note that if the same number shows up in one’s chart (for different calculations), it’s even more significant. It’s not good or bad, it just is.

How to Use Day of Birth Number
The day of birth connects to specific abilities. Looking at one’s Life Path (more of a basic idea of what may be experienced in this lifetime) with Day of Birth gives a clearer picture on specific tools one might use to achieve goals and overcome challenges.

How to Calculate Day of Birth Number
Step 1: If the day of birth equals 15 then 1 + 5 = 6 (final number should equal 1-9, 11, 22, of 33).

Step 2: When looking at the summaries provided at the end of this article, it will be important to critically think about personality traits (a full chart, of course, will reveal more specifics). For instance, 6 is The Responsible One/Server. Family and community would be one of high priority.

How to Use Heart’s Desire Number
This is the inner self, underlying urges, one’s true motivation. This is calculated by the vowels—a, e, i, o, u, and y—in one’s full birth certificate name.

How to Calculate Heart’s Desire Number
Step 1:
Assign numbers to vowels on full birth certificate name.  Jane Ellen Smyth = a (1) + e (5) + e (5) + e (5) + y (7) = 23 = 2 + 3 = 5 (final number should equal 1-9, 11, 22, of 33).

A = 1
E = 5
I = 9
O = 6
U = 3
Y = 7
(Bryan, Gary, Yvonne are examples where y sounds like a vowel)

Step 2: When looking at the summaries provided, it will be important to critically think about personality traits. For instance, 5 is Unending Talent. Freedom, change, new experiences, and travel would fuel motivation.

How to Calculate Expression Number
Those who embrace the concept of past lives will view this as an evolutionary number. Another way to view this is all experiences—good and bad—connect to personal development. This number is where one has evolved in or by this lifetime. To compare, one’s Life Path is the major direction in this lifetime; Expression is one’s being—basic nature (issues and abilities accumulated in this lifetime, or over many lifetimes). This is calculated using one’s full birth certificate name.

Step 1:
Use the chart shown and assign numbers to letters on full birth certificate name–Jane Ellen Smyth = 1+1+5+5+5+3+3+5+1+4+7+2+8 = 50 = 5+0 =5  (final number should equal 1-9, 11, 22, of 33)

Assign Numbers to Letters

Step 2: When looking at the summaries provided, it will be important to critically think about personality traits. For instance, 5 is Unending Talent. Freedom, change, new experiences, and travel would be a part of one’s basic nature.

Numerology with Michelle Payton for June 2020

WHAT DO THE NUMBERS AROUND YOU MEAN?

What do the numbers around you mean?

There are, of course, finite numbers: I need a table for 4; I have 2 dogs and I cat; Always plant in threes and fives. But then there are symbolic numbers, and in some peoples’ worlds, numbers that are energetically influential.

For those curious about energetically influential numbers, they might ask what the final number means:
– for an address?
– for a phone number?
– that has been showing up on a regular basis?
– when creating or changing a personal or a company name?
– when naming a baby?

Assign Numbers to Letters
Decide what numbers and letters will be analyzed. See Step 1 for both examples, but remember that most information is unique.

Calculate Unique Numbers and Letters—Physical Address
Address Step 1: Include apartment number and address number. Include full street name. Do not abbreviate. Do not use common words like “apartment,” or “suite.”

Address Step 2: See Assign Numbers to Letters. 123 Happy Street à1 + 2 + 3 + 8 + 1 + 7 + 7 + 7+ 1 + 2 + 9 + 5 + 5 + 2 = 61à6 + 1 = 7.

Step 3: The person experiencing the number should dive deeper to decide how this connects to one’s life at the moment. See General Understanding of the Numbers at the end of this article.

Calculate Unique Numbers and Letters—Phone Number
Phone Step 1: Include unique numbers. Do not include area code, prefix, or country code. In the United States, use only the last our digits.

Phone Step 2: 828-222-2222ßIn the U.S. use the last 4 digits-à2 + 2 + 2 + 2 = 8.

Step 3: Same as previous step 3.

In a world where so many things feel out of control, digging for deeper meaning is a helpful exercise. Each individual is different, however. One may say 7 symbolizes that it’s time to become a specialist in a subject. Another may say that 7 symbolizes being a bit more organized and narrowing down a specialty.

Calculate Unique Numbers and Letters—Numbers Showing Up, Name Change, Baby Name…
This is the same process as physical address and phone number. Use the same number grid as shown.

Monthly Energetic Management: Calculating Personal Months

In January 2020, I analyzed when the U.S. federal government began its operations on March 4, 1789. This is when three separate but equal branches of government were created–the legislative branch (makes the law), the executive branch (enforces the law), and the judicial branch (interprets the law). As of April (four months later), all can see how the year 2 energy for the state of the union is evolving in real time (put theory into practice).

As a reminder, the 2020 Personal Year 2 is about Compromise and Cooperation. It feels a bit more yin, requires patience because growth can be a bit slower. This is a year of developing life-long partnerships as long as mindfulness is a part of the mix. Confrontations are best handled through subtle and gentle means. Compromise rather than force works best in this year to achieve goals.

What this means is throughout the year there is an overarching theme of compromise and cooperation, but at the time of January 2020 publication, it was also mentioned that May, July, August, and September required even more inner work, flexibility, and tact for the three equal branches. For deeper clarity by month, here are the steps to calculate Personal Months.

Step 1. Calculate personal years—see https://michellepayton.com/calculate-astrology-numerology-birth-order/ on steps—calculation hint: current year (2020) + birthday month (January, February, etc.) + day of birth (1-31) = personal year (1-9, single digit number). In this example, 3 Equal Branches Personal Year is 2 and My Personal Year is 9.

Step 2. Calculate personal months by adding the month number (January = 1, etc.) plus the personal year (Step 1). Reduce the number between 1 and 9 (see the following table).

Current Month (2020)

The 3 Equal Branches Personal Months*

My Personal Months*

April

4 (April) + 2 (PY) = 6

4 (April) + 9 (PY) = 13… 1+3=4

May

5 (May) + 2 (PY) = 7

5 (May) + 9 (PY) = 14… 1+4=5

June

6 (June) + 2 (PY) = 8

6 (June) + 9 (PY) = 15… 1+5=6

July

7 (July) + 2 (PY) = 9

7 (July) + 9 (PY) = 16… 1+6=7

August

8 (Aug.) + 2 (PY) = 10… 1+0=1

8 (Aug.) + 9 (PY) = 17… 1+7=8

September

9 (Sept.) + 2 (PY) = 11… 1+1=2

9 (Sept.) + 9 (PY) = 18… 1+8=9

October

10 (Oct.) + 2 (PY) = 1+0+2=3

10 (Oct.) + 9 (PY) = 19… 1+9=10… 1+0=1

November

11 (Nov.) + 2 (PY) = 1+1+2=4

11 (Nov.) + 9 (PY) = 1+1+9=11… 1+1=2

December

12 (Dec.) + 2 (PY) = 1+2+2=5

12 (Dec.) + 9 (PY) = 1+2+9=12… 1+2=3

*Notice that once April is calculated, the numbers are chronological (1-9 only), so make sure you get that first number right.

How to interpret basic Personal Month summaries
Many want detailed answers in life; they want their futures to be laid out to create comfort. It’s understandable when others say, “Just tell me what to expect and what to do!” However, this is not the purpose of the Personal Month exercise. For Personal Months to become actionable, after all steps are complete, reflect on one month at a time.

For example, April, for the 3 Equal Branches, is to balance personal growth and relationships (this goes past the individual and toward the masses); at the same time, my personal month is about harvesting my personal opportunities. I am aware that the entity called 3 Equal Branches may be interested in building relationships with me as I harvest my personal opportunities.

Another example is May, the 3 Equal Branches seek solitude and rest (go within, separate from others); at the same time, my personal month is about change and good fortune. I am aware that the entity called 3 Equal Branches isn’t energetically available to me for that month. That’s okay to. Now I know.

One can compare numbers to anyone or anything, but one can also just look at one’s own Personal Months.

Numerology with Michelle Payton for March 2020

Gliding through Challenges when being Conscious of the Balance Number

Spring and new beginnings are in the air; new beginnings can also mean change, the unexpected, and chaos. While a person may look calm on the outside during change, there may be an internal response that looks more frenzied. Understanding and embracing one’s balance number will create a higher sense of gliding through challenges in all areas of life.

Calculating the Balance Number
Step 1: Identify the first letter of each name on your birth certificate. For instance, Michelle Anne Smith = MAS.
Step 2: Assign a number value for each letter – MAS – by using the chart below. For example, M = 4 + A = 1 + S = 1.

Step 3: Add the numbers together, for example, 4 + 1 + 1 = 6.  (If a number equals 11, 22, or 33 then this would be the lowest denominator. The final number will be 1-9, 11, 22 or 33.)
Step 4: See the summary descriptions below (excerpts from Birth Mix Patterns: Astrology, Numerology, and Birth Order and their effects on the Past, Present, and Future in Life Path Numbers section).

For Best Balance Results
Create distance between from self-judgment and understanding and honoring core needs when facing the unexpected, change, chaos, or challenges. If the need is to be the leader when in chaos, know and do that. If the need is to collect information independently when swimming in change, know and do that. BIRTH MIX PATTERNS AND UNDERSTANDING RELATIONSHIPS

Birth Mix Patterns

Some sources say that Valentine’s Day dates back to the 5th century and is a symbol of new beginnings. Today, the commercialized version of the 14th of February is all about relationships. Over time there is a bigger price to pay than cards, candy, and flowers; it becomes important to be clear on who should be in one’s inner circles. There is a way to approach learning about yourself and those around you by blending the three arts of Astrology, Numerology, and Birth Order to answer questions with a level of accuracy that these age old fields can, independently, only provide with detailed analysis. It’s called Birth Mix Patterns.

Create a Relationship Table using Birth Mix Patterns
Below is a format to craft a simple relationship analysis. Follow these steps:
1. Reference the At-A-Glance Table (if more details are needed to calculate…, go to michellepayton.com, “Education,” “Calculate Astrology, Numerology, Birth Order”).
2. Record all your specific information in the table. Wait. Don’t Analyze yet.
3. Tally (IIII I) Inward/Outward and Yin/Yang shown on Birth Mix Patterns At-A-Glance table.
4. What do you notice about the relationship on paper? How two (or more) people balance? What makes it great? What makes it challenging?

A general awareness of personality patterns is the first step to creating supportive circles in all areas of life: financial, intellectual, physical, social, and spiritual.

Each 20-minute session is $20, with all proceeds donated to Charley’s Angels Animal Rescue in Fletcher.

December 2019 Numerology Report

The United States and Numerology for 2019 and 2020

Numerology for the U.S. Energy at Large (not to be confused with a person)
I’m basing my analysis on when the U.S. federal government began its operations on March 4, 1789. Essentially, this is when the federal government could collect money through taxes and the three branches of government were established as three separate but equal branches of government: the legislative branch (makes the law), the executive branch (enforces the law), and the judicial branch (interprets the law).

The state of the equal branches of government in the U.S. impacts us all. Understanding the energy that swirls around these three branches helps all better understand the country that we live in.

LIFE PATH 5: Freedom, Newness, Commitment Issues (at times)
From a numerology perspective, the Life Path number (the central number in a numerology chart) for the three branches of government of the United States is a 5. It should be no surprise that this number is all about freedom, but it’s also about newness—adventure, variety, new people, and new experiences. This is an upbeat number, means to inspire and motivate, and means to enjoy life. However, this is also a number that lacks discipline and order. Commitment to one relationship is a challenge with this number, but once committed the loyalty is high.

2019 US Government Year 1: Rebirth
The personal year for the three branches of the government of the U.S. is 1 and that can be a bit of a challenge for a 5 Life Path. The reason why the 1 year is a big deal is this is the first year of a 9 year cycle. The 5 can handle change; however, the 5 has a difficult time with the requirement of being focused in a 1 year. This major change year could include: new projects, new goals, rebirth, courage, clarity, vision and planning, being decisive, direct and bold. Everything that is done in this year impacts the future, so it has a very high, yang, vibration. (2018–the 9 year–was a year of letting go, clearing out any clutter; essentially, this number encouraged cleansing.) The first two to three months can be a bit tumultuous, and getting new things moving can take a while because a 5 has a lot of balls in the air as a general rule. October marked a major turn in events.

2020 US Government l Year 2: Compromise and Cooperation (during an election year)
The two year is a year of cooperation. It feels a bit more yin, requires patience because growth can be a bit slower. This is a year of developing life-long partnerships as long as mindfulness is a part of the mix. Confrontations are best handled through subtle and gentle means. Compromise rather than force works best in this year to achieve goals. May, July, August, and September are months that require inner work, flexibility, and tact.

Making New Years’ Resolutions Compatible with your Life Path Number

APA Survey on Resolutions
According to a survey from the American Psychological Association, “93% of Americans made a resolution to change some aspect of their behavior” (https://www.apaservices.org/practice/update/2012/02-23/willpower), but many fall short of those resolutions. To follow-thru effectively, people must not use generally accepted terms to set their individual resolutions; people must use words compatible with their personality types.

Using the Most Accurate Words to Sustain Resolutions
If someone has a core problem/solution pattern that is inward and yin, and the goal is to exercise by going to a public gym three times per week, this isn’t compatible with this person’s personality; it is too outward to go out in public. In addition, if someone is a Life Path 6, “Responsible/Server” and the resolution doesn’t fill some part of the Life Path, the goal is not sustainable. This doesn’t mean that the 6 can’t enjoy self-care, but it does mean that self-care must have a connection to the core theme. For instance, the 6 could say, “schedule one hour of self-care four days per week to keep energy high to serve my community.”

To be clear, outward personalities are capable of completing inward work; inward personalities are capable of completing outward work. However, it’s important to put this work in words that are personally compatible to be sustainable in the long-term. Below is a chart to get you started on creating the most effective New Years’ Resolutions using your Life Path Number.

The Basic Workshop in Core Shamanism

by the Foundation for Shamanic Studies

February 1 – 2, 2020

(9:30 am to 5:30 pm each day)

Led by Marcia and Jack Hebrank. In this experiential workshop, participants are introduced to Core Shamanism, the universal and near-universal basic methods used by shamans to enter non-ordinary reality for problem solving and healing.  Particular emphasis is on the classic shamanic journey.  The shamanic journey is one of the most remarkable visionary methods used by humankind to explore the hidden universe otherwise known mainly through myth and dream.

Participants are initiated into shamanic journeying, aided by drumming and other techniques for experiencing the shamanic state of consciousness and for awakening dormant spiritual abilities, including connections with Nature.  Practice includes sharing by participants of their discoveries in shamanic journeys as well as being introduced to shamanic divination and healing.  Participants are also provided with methods for journeying so they can meet and study with their own individual spirit helpers in non-ordinary reality, a classic step in shamanic practice.

Participants learn how the journey is utilized to restore spiritual power and health, and how shamanism can be applied in contemporary daily life to heal oneself, others, and the Planet.  This Basic Workshop is presented by the Foundation For Shamanic Studies faculty members, Marcia and Jack Hebrank.  Completion of the workshop qualifies participants to take the advanced FSS workshops and courses.
